great opening at Arlington Arts Center last night! What a beautiful new space.

Allegra's show "Glass stories and their prints" was at once totally charming and upon closer inspection slightly disconcerting. It did reming me of reading "Hansel and Gretel" to my young children and stopping mid sentence...

"early to-morrow morning we'll take the children out into the thickest part of the wood; there we shall light a fire for them and give them each a piece of bread; then we'll go on to our work and leave them alone. They won't be able to find their way home, and we shall thus be rid of them" Yikes.

I'm so happy for Claire Huschle, the new Executive Director, what a blast!

Sister Gretchen and I ate at a favorite new Del Ray resturant Del Merei Grille we had a great bottle of PINOT GRIGIO Musarango Lison-Pramaggiore Italy 2003 for $16. and had Grilled Cedar Planked salmon with grilled asparagus over a roasted corn pancake with a smoked tomato chutney.... Unbelieveably good. The resturant and bar were packed, very fun.
