KT and I had a great weekend in Manhattan, went to MoMA so she could see the Tim Burton exhibit, and last night saw Billy Elliott on Broadway. Today we tried to get into the Metropolitan Museum but they would not let us check our luggage. After a fruitless cab ride that put us back within a block of our Hilton at time square, we gave up on the museum and instead ate a leisurely, unspeakably delicious meal at Tang Pavilion.

Beautiful morning in Charlottesville. We had a great meeting with our art committee and have lots of interesting studio visits to do in the next few days.

I watched the most beautiful movie, Bright Star, written and directed by Jane Campion (The Piano). Its based on the romance between 19th century poet John Keats and Fanny Brawne.
